KNESSET MEMBERS CALL ON OLMERT TO SUSPEND HIMSELF: Knesset members from both the Right and the Left criticized PM Ehud Olmert this week and demanded he suspend himself. Government fury erupted after it was announced Olmert was to undergo a third criminal investigation. Likud faction chairman Gideon Saar said, "The most-ever investigated prime minister in the history of Israel with the least public support in the history of Israel has no legitimacy to negotiate the fate of Jerusalem, and I doubt he can continue to run the affairs of the country when there are so many criminal investigations against him." PM OLMERT PUSHING FOR CASINO IN EILAT: PM Ehud Olmert is eager for a casino in the southern Negev and has ordered the establishment of a group to study the possibility of establishing a gambling resort in Eilat. In the past, former PM Benjamin Netanyahu was also in favor of a casino in Eilat or Mitzpeh Ramon. Netanyahu's initiative was blasted, partly as a result of pressure from ultra-Orthodox parties. It does seem paradoxical in Olmert's present situation to be pushing for a gambling resort in the Holy Land while endeavoring to downplay the image of being a corrupt leader. (Haaretz)

RICE REWRITES ROADMAP: In the original Roadmap Plan final status negotiations for a Palestinian State were to occur only after a sustained and effective effort by the Palestinian Authority to dismantle terrorist capabilities and infrastructure. Terrorist organizations are still in tact, still carrying out attacks against Israel and still gathering weapons and skills for more of the same in the future. Media sources charge the Roadmap has been scrapped and a new one drawn up by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. According to the Rice Map strategy, the previous requirement for the PA to eradicate violence against the Jewish State can be eliminated as non essential and final status for the Palestinian State be set in place almost immediately. AYATOLLAH TO MUSLIMS: BOYCOTT ANNAPOLIS: The Bush administration and US Secretary of State Condollezza Rice remain upbeat about the US peace summit, scheduled late November at Annapolis, Maryland, while a number of Arab leaders are pessimistic about the outcome. Israel's Military Intelligence told the nation's political leaders it also does not expect the summit to succeed and warned the outcome is likely to be negative for Israel. Days ago Iranian spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called on all Arab countries to cancel their participation in the summit. He accused the US of attempting to force its will on the Palestinians under the guise of a search for peace. He said the summit had only one purpose, "to save the Zionist regime." YISHAI: PEACE SUMMIT SHOULD ONLY DEAL WITH ECONOMIC ISSUES : Israel's Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Eli Yishai says the upcoming peace summit should be limited to economic issues only, and Israel and the Palestinians should refrain from focusing on political matters. Yishai, pointed out PA officials are warning of dire consequences should the summit fail to produce results. Palestinian demands include handing over Israel's Judea and Samaria heartland, East Jerusalem including the Old City and the remnants of the Second Temple Wall sacred to all of Judaism. They continue to lobby for the right of millions of Arab descendants of displaced refugees to flood into Israel under the Right of Return. Israel cannot possibly meet such outrageous conditions. ABBAS AIDE: WESTERN WALL IS OURS: In the latest Arab claim, Adnan Husseini, an adviser to Mahmoud Abbas said Palestinian demands for Israel to cede eastern Jerusalem also include the Western Wall. He claims the Wall is part of Islamic heritage that cannot be given up, and it must be under Muslim control. Husseini said all of Jerusalem's Old City should be part of a future Palestinian state. The Western Wall is a last remnant of the Jewish Second Temple, which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE, and sacred to all Judaism. PALESTINIANS: ALLAH, KILL AMERICANS : A leading Palestinian newspaper controlled by Fatah carried a political cartoon last week in which a Muslim is shown kneeling in prayer facing a US B-2 Stealth Bomber. The words of his prayer, which become encased in missiles aimed at the bomber, beseech Allah to scatter Americans, make their wives widows, their children orphans, and to grant Muslims victory over the US. It is another glimpse of what is inside the heart of the so called "moderate" Fatah faction and its chief, Mahmoud Abbas in regards to Israel and the West. (PMW) "The way of peace they do not know." GERMANY'S IRANIAN SECRET: German Chancellor Angela Merkel's has won the hearts of many Israelis with her continued tough stands on behalf of the Jewish nation. Worrisome however are the pricey business deals German firms have closed with the Tehran regime, amounting to $5.7 billion in 2006. The figures make Germany Iran's most important trading partner in the EU. Some 5,000 German enterprises conduct business with Iran, and officials report some two-thirds of Iranian industry relies on German engineering products. (Haaretz)

ISRAELI DOCTORS TREAT IRAQI PATIENTS: Last week Israeli doctors examined 40 Iraqi children suffering from heart disease at an outpatient clinic in the Jordanian capital, Amman. There were no hint of hostilities, only warmth and gratitude from Arab parents of sick children who ranged in age from a few months to 14 years old. In almost every case the youngsters received badly needed medical assistance and in some instances will be scheduled for surgery in Israel to correct heart defects.
